Commercial Networks, Security & Building Systems in Saskatoon & Regina

The building runs on the network, so we start there. Then entry and intercoms, cameras, water protection and building controls — designed as one system, installed by one team, and documented so anyone can service it. For offices, clinics, retail, warehouses, condominiums and apartment buildings.

The short answer

What does KeenAI do for commercial buildings?

KeenAI designs, installs and supports the systems a building runs on: the network and Wi-Fi, access control and intercoms, security cameras, water leak protection, HVAC and air-quality control, and building management. Take one, or take the stack — they’re designed to run on the same infrastructure either way.

Most building systems fail in the same boring place: not the cameras or the controllers, but the cabling, switching and addressing underneath them. KeenAI started in network and IT infrastructure, and we still build every commercial job from that layer up.

  • One design, one teamNetwork, entry, cameras and water, without four contractors blaming each other.
  • Built on UniFiOne platform for the network, cameras and doors, with no licence fees.
  • Runs locallyDoors, cameras and leak shut-off keep working when the internet doesn’t.
  • Supported8×5 support from the people who built it, 24×7 where the project needs it.

Take one, or take the stack

Each one stands on its own. Designed together, a second and third project never turn into a second and third silo.

KeenAi One for buildings

One screen for the whole building

KeenAi One already runs our homes: lighting, climate, security and water, on a hub in the house. We’re bringing a building version — the same core, with a view made for property managers, boards and facility teams.

  • Entry, water, cameras and the network at a glance, with what needs attention first.
  • Events in plain words: which suite, which door, what the system already did.
  • Every system keeps its own platform underneath, so nothing depends on one screen.

Who we do this for

Buildings where downtime, privacy and a tidy install all matter

Condos & apartments

Boards and property managers: entry and intercoms, water protection in every suite, and cameras on the parkade.

Offices & clinics

Medical, dental, legal and accounting practices, where uptime and privacy matter and someone will ask who accessed what.

Retail & warehouses

Camera coverage that stands up to a claim, door control for staff areas, and Wi-Fi to the far corner.

Builders & developers

Rough-in done at the framing stage, so the finished building never has to be opened back up.

From our work

A whole job, not a box on a wall

The work we’re proudest of is where one contractor handled the network, servers, cameras and access control together. For Eye Surgeons of Regina, that meant the whole layer in one fit-out — detailed on our network & IT infrastructure page.

The honest part

What we won’t do

  • Quote a building we haven’t walked. Commercial buildings hide things. A number from a floor plan is a guess, and you pay for the difference either way.
  • Lock you to us. Systems are built on open standards and you own the hardware. Any competent contractor can service what we install.
  • Promise a saving we can’t measure. If we haven’t metered your building, we don’t know what a change will save, and we’ll say so.
  • Put anything safety-critical under automatic AI control. Software advises. Rules and people decide.
How a commercial job runs

Four steps, one point of contact

  1. Site assessment

We walk the building, look at what’s there and reuse what’s worth reusing.

  2. Design & written quote

A specification and a fixed scope: what goes where, what it does and what it doesn’t.

  3. Install & commission

Labelled, tested, and scheduled around your operating hours.

  4. Handover & support

Documentation, credentials handed over properly, training, and support from the people who built it.

Commercial building systems: frequently asked questions

What commercial services does KeenAI offer?

Network, Wi-Fi, server and IT infrastructure; access control and building intercoms; security cameras and AI video; water leak detection and shut-off for multi-unit buildings; HVAC and air-quality control; and building management — across Saskatoon, Regina and Saskatchewan.

Do we have to replace the systems we already have?

Usually not. Plenty of commercial equipment is fine and simply badly integrated or badly networked. We assess what’s there first, and we’ll tell you when something is genuinely at end of life rather than replacing it because it’s easier for us.

Can you work with our existing IT provider?

Yes, and it’s common. We handle the building systems and physical layer while your IT provider keeps workstations and software. The boundary is written down so nothing falls between us.

Do the systems keep working if the internet goes down?

Yes. Door controllers, cameras, leak shut-off and building controls run locally. What you lose is remote access and off-site alerts, and both come back on their own.

What is KeenAi One for buildings?

A building version of our KeenAi One platform, in development: the same core that runs our homes, with a view made for managers that puts entry, cameras, water and the network on one screen. Each system keeps its own platform underneath, so nothing depends on it.

Do you work with condo boards and property managers?

Yes. Multi-unit residential is a large part of our commercial work: lobby intercoms, fob entry, parkades, cameras and water protection in every suite, phased to suit the reserve fund.

Can we start with one system and add more later?

That’s the normal way to do it, and it’s why we build the network layer properly at the start. Adding cameras or access control later is straightforward when the cabling and switching were designed with room to grow.

How disruptive is the installation?

We schedule around your operating hours, including evenings and weekends where that’s sensible. In occupied buildings we stage the work so you’re never without a functioning system overnight.

Do you handle multi-site or out-of-town buildings?

Yes. Multiple sites run on one platform with per-site access, so a manager sees only their building while head office sees all of them. Regina and other Saskatchewan centres are within our normal working area.

Is there a monthly fee?

Not to run the systems we install or to view your own cameras. Support is part of the project. Any optional service with a fee is identified before you buy.

How much does a commercial project cost?

It depends entirely on the building, which is why we don’t quote one we haven’t walked. You get a written specification and quote, with a fixed scope, after a free site assessment.
