The short answer

What does KeenAI do for homes?

KeenAI designs and installs smart-home systems for houses, acreages and condos in and around Saskatoon: lighting and shades, heating and climate, cameras and locks, water leak protection, home theatre and audio, outdoor living, energy and the network underneath it all.

What makes it one system rather than a dozen gadgets is KeenAi One — our platform, running on a hub in your home. Every room and every system is in one app and on the wall, and the things that matter keep running through an internet outage.

Everything we design and install for homes

Each service stands on its own, and each one joins the same system. Start with one; add the rest when you’re ready.

KeenAi One

Every system in one app, on your phone and on the wall

This is the screen our customers live with. It’s the same app on a phone and on a wall panel by the door.

  • The house at a glance: lights on, doors locked, every zone’s temperature, the water dry.
  • Scenes, one tap each: Good morning, Welcome home, Dinner, Movie.
  • Every room, its own screen, with its lights, climate and media together.
  • Alerts that reach you, even with the app closed.

Where to start

Start with what bothers you most

Most people don’t want “a smart home.” They want one specific thing fixed. These are the four we hear most.

“I worry about the house when I’m away”

Water shut-off, freeze alerts and cameras that reach your phone.

“Some rooms are always cold”

Room sensors, zoning and thermostats that suit your heating.

“The WiFi is useless downstairs”

A wired network with access points where the survey says.

“Too many apps, nothing talks”

One system that keeps what you own and replaces the app pile.

Why KeenAi

A different deal from the usual smart-home install

The usual way

  • A separate app for every brand, each with its own cloud.
  • Much of it stops when the internet does.
  • Monthly fees to see your own cameras or reach your own home.
  • The installer fits the product and leaves.

KeenAi One

  • One app for every system, designed as a whole.
  • Runs on a hub in your home, through an outage.
  • No subscription to run your home or see your cameras.
  • Documented and handed over in your name, with local support.

Monitoring for police and fire dispatch is a separate, optional service, and we’ll tell you honestly when it’s worth it. KeenAi One is not an alarm system.

Built for here

Designed for a Saskatchewan house

−40 and a power flicker

Heat, lighting and water shut-off run on hardware in your home, because the night the internet drops is often the night it matters.

Seven and a half hours of daylight

Around the winter solstice. Lighting that follows sunrise and sunset changes how a house feels for months.

Acreages, shops and cabins

Detached buildings, long driveways, rural internet and homes that sit empty for a week. We design for all of it.

How we work

Four steps, one point of contact

  1. Discovery & audit

A free on-site assessment: we walk the house, look at what you own and ask what bugs you.

  2. Design & plan

A plain-English scope and a fixed quote on the spot, phased if you like.

  3. Install & test

Clean installs, electrical work to code by licensed partners, every system tested before we leave.

  4. Training & support

Everyone in the house shown how, documentation in your name, and a local team when you call.

Smart home services: frequently asked questions

What smart home services does KeenAI offer in Saskatoon?

Home automation, lighting and motorized shades, smart thermostats and heating control, security cameras and smart locks, water leak protection, home theatre and whole-home audio, outdoor automation, energy monitoring, air quality and independent-living technology, and whole-home WiFi — all run from one app, KeenAi One.

What is KeenAi One?

Our smart-home platform: one app for every system in the house, on your phone and on wall panels, running on a hub in your home. You can see it running our demo home on the KeenAi One page.

Do I have to do everything at once?

No. Most people start with one thing — water protection, heating or lighting — and add the rest later. Every service joins the same hub and the same app, without replacing what’s already in.

Will it work with the smart devices I already own?

Usually. The platform works with more than 1,500 device integrations, so most of what you own can join. Some cloud-only devices can’t, and we’ll tell you which at the assessment.

What happens if the internet goes down?

Lights, schedules, heat and leak response keep running, because they run on hardware in your home. Control from outside the house and notifications to your phone pause, and resume by themselves when the connection returns.

Is there a monthly fee?

No subscription is required to run your home or see your own cameras. Monitored alarm response is a separate, optional service, and we’ll tell you honestly when it’s worth it.

Is my data private?

Day-to-day automation runs on hardware in your home, and camera recordings stay there. We show you exactly what stays local and what, only if you turn it on, uses the internet.

Which areas do you serve?

Saskatoon, Warman, Martensville and the surrounding communities and acreages, with free on-site assessments. Elsewhere in Saskatchewan we start with a free online consultation, and larger projects travel.

Do you do the electrical work?

Hardwired switches, line-voltage thermostats, panel monitoring and new circuits are done to code by licensed electrical partners. We design the system, coordinate the work and set everything up.

Can you work on a new build?

Yes, and it’s the best time: wiring for access points, cameras, speakers and shades goes in before the drywall. Bring us in at the framing stage if you can.

How much does a smart home cost?

It depends on the house and how much of it you want connected. We give you a fixed quote at a free on-site assessment, before any work begins.
