Water Leak Detection & Automatic Shut‑Off in Saskatoon

A sensor gets wet, your main water closes, and your phone knows — even when nobody’s home. KeenAi One also watches the flow for the leaks no sensor can see.

KeenAi One · Water

Wet sensor. Water off.

  • Closes on its own. A wet sensor shuts your main in seconds — no one has to see the alert first.
  • Close it from anywhere. One tap in the app, at work or at the lake.
  • Every alert on your phone, even with the app closed.
  • See your water. 24 hours of use, and whether it stopped overnight.

Flow watch

It finds the leaks no sensor can see

With a flow meter on your main, KeenAi One watches how your house uses water:

  • Water never stops overnight — a slow, hidden leak.
  • Water runs far too long — a burst pipe, or a tap left open.
  • Any water while you’re away — nobody should be using it.
  • Your choice per rule: alert, or alert and close. Limits are set for your house and your meter at installation.

Built for the worst night

It can’t fail quietly

  • Runs in your house. The rules live on the KeenAi hub — no internet needed, and never the AI.
  • Nothing reopens the water automatically. That’s always a person’s decision.
  • A dead sensor says so. One that goes quiet shows “no signal”, never “dry”.
  • No false alarms from the garden. Irrigation is expected water. A leak sensor is never ignored.

Why it matters

The most expensive disaster in your house is the quietest one

Most damage comes later

The hours after a leak starts do the harm — floors, drywall, mould. Automatic shut-off closes that window.

Saskatchewan winters

A pipe that freezes at −35°C splits without warning. Temperature sensing can warn you first.

Nobody home

A water heater fails on the weekend you’re at the lake. The system doesn’t need you there.

Frequently asked questions

Can I shut the water off when I’m not home?

Yes. The main valve closes from anywhere with one tap in the KeenAi app, and every alert reaches your phone even when the app is closed. Most of the time you won’t need to: a wet sensor closes it for you.

What if the internet is down?

The shut-off still works. Your leak rules run on the KeenAi hub inside your house, so a wet sensor closes the water with no internet at all. The alert to your phone is the part that needs a connection.

Can it find a leak where there’s no sensor?

Yes, with a flow meter on your main. KeenAi One watches the flow for water that never stops overnight, water that runs far too long, and any water used while you’re away. Every flow meter has a smallest flow it can measure, so we set the limits for your house and your meter at installation and tell you plainly what it can and can’t see.

Will it shut the water off by accident?

Sensors react to water touching them, not to humidity. Watering the garden or other expected use is set up so it doesn’t trigger flow watch — but a wet leak sensor is never ignored. Reopening takes one tap in the app.

Does a leak detection system lower my home insurance?

Many Canadian insurers view automatic shut-off systems favourably and some offer discounts. Policies vary — we provide documentation of your installed system to submit to your insurer.

What happens during a power outage?

The Sedna valve is designed to operate with battery backup options, and we configure your system so protection doesn’t depend on your WiFi being up. We walk you through exactly how your setup behaves during our live test.

Who does the plumbing work?

All work on your water lines is performed by our licensed plumbing contractor partner, to code, with KeenAi managing the system design, smart integration, and support.

Can it protect my cabin at the lake?

Yes — seasonal and remote properties are where these systems shine. Combined with temperature monitoring, you’ll know about freeze risk before it becomes a flood. Remote properties need a working internet connection for alerts; we’ll advise options.

Do I need KeenAi One for this to work?

No. A Sinopé Sedna system works on its own with Sinopé’s app. KeenAi One adds flow watch, the away rules, and puts your water in the same app as your security, lights and climate.

How long does installation take?

Most homes: a half-day visit.

Leak sensors and the app ride on your home network — most “smart device” failures are really WiFi failures. If your coverage has dead zones, start with whole-home WiFi & networking.
