Home Theatre & Whole-Home Audio in Saskatoon
Music that follows you from room to room, a theatre that starts with one tap, and every screen in the house on one remote — your phone. Wires in the wall, speakers where the room sounds right, and lights and shades that join in.
- Locally owned, Saskatoon
- Works with Sonos, Bluesound & HEOS
- No subscription to run your home
What is whole-home audio and home theatre control?
Whole-home audio puts music in any room — or every room — from one app, with each room on its own source and volume or grouped together. Home theatre control turns the screen, the sound, the lights and the shades into one action. KeenAi One does both, and puts them next to everything else your home does.
The hard part isn’t the equipment. It’s the wiring, the speaker placement and the control, done so the whole family can use it. That’s the part we do.
- Your speakers, your servicesSpotify and internet radio through the players you choose, room by room.
- Every screen on one remoteApple TV, Netflix, PlayStation, Blu-ray, cable and screen mirroring, switched by name.
- Lights and shades join inA Movie scene dims the room and lowers the blackout shades.
- Wired properlyIn-wall and in-ceiling speakers, hidden cables, and outdoor speakers rated for winter.
Your phone is the remote
- What’s on, and where. The Cinema screen shows what each screen in the house is playing and hands you its remote.
- The remote you can’t lose in the couch: play, pause, the arrow pad, back, home and volume.
- Inputs by name. Apple TV, Netflix, PlayStation 5, Blu-ray, Cable TV, Screen Mirroring — no more guessing which HDMI is which.
- Turn everything off. Every screen in the house, one tap.

Music in every room, or just this one
- Now playing, room by room. The Great Room on Spotify, with the Gym joined in a tap.
- Group and split rooms whenever you like: dinner in the kitchen and dining room, the kids on their own.
- Pause all, quiet the house — two buttons every parent wants.
- Favourites per room. Each room keeps the stations and playlists it actually plays.

A panel by the media room door
A tablet on the wall runs KeenAi One in its wall-panel layout: what’s playing, the remote, the inputs and the volume, at a size anyone can use in a dark room.
- Movie night from the doorway: shades down, lights to a glow, screen on.
- No universal remote to program, charge or lose.
- The same app as your phone, so there’s nothing new to learn.

Every screen in one list, every room ready
- Five screens, one list. TVs and the Media Room projector, with what each one is showing.
- Start the film from anywhere. Tap the Media Room projector in the kitchen and the film is running when you sit down.
- The room follows. Blackout shades close, the lights drop and the star ceiling comes on, as one scene or one sentence: “Close the Media Room blackout shades and turn on the star ceiling.”
- Lights come back up when the film ends, so nobody hunts for a switch.

Keep your gear
Sonos, Bluesound, HEOS receivers and smart TVs you already own usually come with you.
Sonos, Bluesound or a receiver-based system?
All of them work with KeenAi One. The right one depends on the rooms, the listening and what you already own.
| System | Best for | Consider |
|---|---|---|
| Sonos | The simplest multi-room system, with wide support for music services and good soundbars for TV rooms. | In-ceiling and in-wall speakers need a Sonos amplifier to join in. |
| Bluesound | Listeners who care most about high-resolution music, across many rooms. | A smaller range of products than Sonos. |
| AV receiver with HEOS or MusicCast (Denon, Marantz, Yamaha) | Dedicated theatres with full surround sound, plus music in a few other rooms. | Multi-room features are more limited than a dedicated multi-room system. |
| Distributed amplifiers (Russound and others) | Many rooms of in-ceiling speakers run from one equipment rack. | Planned at framing, with a central equipment location. |
A Control4 or RTI install is a different deal
The usual model
- Remote access to your own home sits behind a paid subscription.
- Programming software is supplied to dealers, not owners.
- Changing what a button does means booking your dealer.
- You are inside one manufacturer’s ecosystem.
KeenAi One
- The hub is in your building. You own the hardware.
- No monthly fee to use your system or view your own cameras.
- Scenes and schedules are yours to change in the app.
- Open standards, so your existing equipment comes with you.
Sourced, not asserted: Control4 state on their own services page that their systems work locally without a subscription and that Remote Access is part of the paid Control4 Connect subscription. RTI’s Integration Designer programming software is distributed to authorised dealers only. Both are capable systems — the difference is ownership, not quality. Checked September 2026.

When we’re the right call
- A media room, a theatre or music in more than a couple of rooms.
- Wires that should be in the wall, not along it.
- A household where everyone needs to be able to use it.
When you don’t need us
- One TV in a bedroom? A decent bracket and an afternoon will do it.
- A soundbar is genuinely enough for a lot of rooms. We’ll tell you when it is.
- Renting? Spend on gear you can take with you, not on the walls.
Home theatre & audio: frequently asked questions
How much does a home theatre cost in Saskatoon?
It depends on the room and how far you want to go: a TV, a soundbar and hidden wiring is a different job from a dedicated media room with a projector and surround sound. We give you a fixed quote at a free on-site assessment, after seeing the room.
Sonos or Bluesound — which should I choose?
Sonos if you want the simplest multi-room system with the widest music-service support; Bluesound if high-resolution music matters most. Both work with KeenAi One, and both can drive in-ceiling speakers through their amplifiers. If you already own one, we build around it.
Can I play different music in different rooms?
Yes. Each room has its own source and volume, and rooms can be grouped or split at any time from the app or a wall panel.
Can one app control my TV, lights and blinds?
Yes — that’s the point of KeenAi One. The Cinema screen controls the TVs and their inputs, and a Movie scene can dim the lights and lower the shades at the same moment.
In-ceiling or in-wall speakers?
In-ceiling speakers disappear and suit background music across a room. In-wall speakers sound better for a theatre’s front channels because they face you at ear level. Many homes use both.
When should we call if we’re finishing a basement or building?
At framing, before insulation and drywall. That’s when speaker wire, screen placement, seating sightlines and power are cheap to get right, and expensive to change later.
Can you mount a TV over a fireplace?
Often, but it isn’t always a good idea: heat from the fireplace and a screen too high for comfortable viewing are the two problems. We check the heat at the mantel and the viewing angle, and suggest a pull-down mount or another wall when that’s the better answer.
Will outdoor speakers survive a Saskatchewan winter?
Yes, if they’re rated for it and installed like they’re going to sit through minus forty — which they are. The failures we get called to fix are almost always an indoor speaker put outside, or water finding an unsealed connection.
Can I keep my existing equipment?
Usually. Sonos, Bluesound, HEOS receivers, smart TVs and streaming boxes generally come with you into KeenAi One. We check each model at the assessment and tell you plainly what will and won’t integrate.
Do I still need a universal remote?
No. Your phone or a wall panel is the remote, and the original remotes keep working for anyone who prefers them.
Can you add audio to a finished room?
Usually. In-ceiling and in-wall speakers go into finished rooms routinely, and the patching is much less dramatic than people expect. Where a room genuinely can’t take it, we’ll say so.
Why does my music keep cutting out?
Most dropouts are network problems, not speaker problems. We wire the main players where we can and make sure the Wi-Fi reaches every room that plays music. More on whole-home Wi-Fi.
Is there a subscription?
No subscription to run your system. Music services like Spotify are your own accounts, and you keep them.
